Monday thoughts - a little late as usual ....

Do everything with so much love in your heart that you would never want to do it any other way.......

This quote I found on Pinterest {definitely one of my happy places}....As I may have mentioned I struggle to start my year doing similar things to the year before, I need a challenge, I need to feel like I am loving every minute and just not simply working because creatively that just doesn't work for me, I want to make someone smile....  I have been designing soldered charms for a lot of year now so sometimes I struggle with the fact is there something new I can be doing today....So I think back to how it began and why I really had a passion for it at the start.... For me it was about making a memory for someone....  Years ago I placed an advertisement in Country Style magazine to sell my charms, it was a charm of my mum as a little girl {the image in the middle of the collage}....  The first response was from a sister whose brother had lost a new born baby and she wanted to get something beautiful for him....He had written a poem for his baby and I remember crying the whole time I made it but I knew in some tiny way I was making a difference...  She gave it as a present to her brother for Christmas and it is now tied to the Christmas tree every year....Sometimes I pinch myself really on how blessed I am to create from my little studio...I have worked with so many other incredible designers over the years so I put it down to the fact I have a bit of an adventurous side wanting to try something new but then I remember what I do is new for someone today....Someone that has never dropped by my blog before so heres to all my beautiful customers old and new....Many new and old adventures ahead my friends....Have a beautiful week.... and too my beautiful hazel eyed boy today.... who is shaving for a cure....I love you so much ....

Monday thoughts - my lounge room

As I have explained before my house is a tiny wee cottage, so using white is a lovely option....It gives me a bit of a dreamy space....It is so funny as I have only ever lived in tiny spaces....I grew up in a small 3 bedroom with 4 siblings...then I lived in a 2 bedroom unit and a 3 bedroom unit and then this little cottage...  so yes I try to use what we need and then make it pretty....I changed my lounge room around totally yesterday and cleaned which felt so good...I will do that to every room over the next week to prepare for the cooler months....  A little work today { finding new fun things for my web site and soldering}.... I can't believe I will be 47 by the time this week is over....On days like this I jump in my car, wind the windows down, put on some good music and I feel 20 which I suppose is a good thing .....  Loving life one day at a time .....

Monday thoughts ... a little late this week....

Well unfortunately my body decided it needed some rest in the form of a very nasty strep infection in my throat...I am not at all good at resting, or letting people help me but I am trying to be good...My hubby is away and my hazel eyed boy has so much on at the moment but he has been extremely sweet and has taken very good care of me...  While talking about my gorgeous hazel eyed boy he is shaving all his gorgeous dark brown curls off on the 26th of March for the Leukemia Foundation - shave for a cure....If you have a few spare dollars click on shave for a cure above and it will take you to his page.... He is one of those lovely kids that tries to make a difference and I am very proud of him.  Now that jury duty is over I can concentrate on finding pretty new things for my shop.... New recipes to cook for the autumn days ahead and saving frantically for December.....still need to finish off my tax my poor accountant will have to do it at the last minute again :)  I hope March is treating you well my friends.

It will be 6 years tomorrow from when I wrote my first post here in Blogland...I must admit my writing skills haven't improved a lot but I still love coming here and sharing a little of my life with you all...  I think the greatest blessing comes from meeting other bloggers and some how even if we live on the other side of the world we forge great friendships by sharing a little in each others lives...so for me today is about given back to just a few of the truly inspirational bloggers, that I can now call friends.....

I must start with beautiful Sara.  She has touched our lives with exquisite images, the journey of renovating her lovely home and then letting us share in the amazing journey with her sweet little boy... 

Paige, her great love for her family, her gorgeous photographs, her honesty and LOVE and joy for this beautiful world just makes me smile every day .... Jeanne well the first word the comes to mind is inspiration....You have opened our minds and hearts through your love for your family and your creative soul, your exquisite eye for detail is beyond measure..... and Kimberly well simplicity, beauty and enjoying the details of life is what I love the most about you...You are just such a joy... Your marvelous photography and the way that you love on your family is unquestionable....
