Thursday thoughts - where are the days going !!!!!!

I don't know about you guys but looking at these images takes me to my happy place....It is a bit of a joke in my house but when the conversation gets negative or too intense, I tend to go to my happy place.... I realised pretty early in life that we are on such a precious journey and I think life can be dramatic enough without adding to it so "yes" joke as you will I do spend some time every day in my happy place... Life in my little cottage has and always will be pretty simple.... I enjoy my time with my hazel eyed boy at the kitchen table in the mornings and even when we don't have a lot to say I still love it.... Working away in my studio, putting my clothes on the line, baking, listening to my baby lambs bleat, the neighbours kids playing in the yard are all happy places and the list would go on and on.... So I hope you get some time today to go to your happy place ;)

Vintage my Nina's new book Among Vintage and Friends should be here any day now.....I can't wait...you can pre-order it HERE

Tuesday Thoughts - in my cottage...

A pretty new shelf made from old wrought iron verandah details and old hoop pine boards.  A new edition to my studio last weekend.

As you have probably worked out by now, I love taking photos... and I love my little cottage.  I have what is called a little sun room here in Australia that has always been my studio or work space but a few months ago I moved into one of the front rooms so it would be easier if I ever wanted to have an open studio or have customers pick up an order (this was originally our bedroom) so over the last few months this little space I have used as a place to film videos and take photos because the light is so pretty in there most of the day :)  It only has an old timber table (made from an old door which was originally from my Nan's house) a large mirror sitting on the floor, a mirror on the wall and a shelf with old ironstone and our very old linen cupboard...  To be totally honest I am not sure what I will eventually do with this little space but at the moment I am enjoying having somewhere separate to photograph some pretty Christmas ......Talking about Christmas please remember to join Jeanne Oliver and 7 other incredible woman and myself on the Creatively Made Home Course - Home for the holidays....It starts on the 15th of October and I am beyond excited. Friday thoughts - pretty images, open studio and Creatively Made Home -Home for the Holidays

Sometimes I feel the need to pinch myself...  I live in a pretty little cottage, creating and doing something I love...Being a stay at home mum which I always dreamed to be and it is the greatest joy.  I have the most beautiful people from all over the world drop by to say hi on facebook or here on my blog.  Life has been a little hectic of late, working on the course and preparing for my open studio last weekend plus the fact that my sister-in-law has been staying with us for several months now so life is a little different but still so very beautiful...  I talked earlier in the year about being more present on my blog but till now it just hasn't happened so I am trying to make a plan (especially for my friends that don't have facebook) to blog at least a couple of time a week...  I am going to start to talk about my journey a little more and hopefully have a few guests join me.... but for now just a little of the last couple of weeks
Pretty collages that I make most days for my facebook page images from pinterest.

An absolutely picture perfect day last Saturday...My hazel eyed man took his sis and his son-in-law away so my hazel eyed girl and I could have some mum and daughter time and time to prepare..  We work incredibly well together and the place looked very pretty with white bunting across the front verandah and fresh flowers everywhere...It was so lovely to catch up with new friends and old...
The girls are wearing gorgeous headbands from Ali Newbury and you can find them in my STORE
My dear friend Jeanne  Oliver did a post on her blog about my hazel eyed girls wedding....You should go and take a look HERE

Only about 6 weeks now till this incredible on-line course starts...Please join me and the 8 other incredible woman for a fun filled journey sharing a little bit of ourselves and our joy for the holidays with you all.  The course is $58 US so please join us....  Click on the Paypal button below.

Well my beautiful friends the secret is out today...This is the marvellous project I have been working on and I am so very excited to tell you all about it.

Creatively Made Home {Home for the Holidays}

Here are some details from Jeanne to explain a little more about it....

Join eight of my friends and me as we celebrate loving on your home, friends and family through the holidays.
Because the holidays can also be a time of stress, conflict, loneliness, sadness and disappointment, I want this course to be a reminder of what you bring into your home, your family and the beauty that your life and gifts bring to those around you.
You will be encouraged as you hear honestly from each woman about the times things did not go as planned during their holidays.
You will hear honest discussions about their own journey of hospitality.
You will walk away inspired as you hear about the traditions and special moments from their childhood and how they create special moments with their families today.
You will be able to watch beautiful videos with gift giving ideas, decorating projects and favorite family recipes.
We all want to create authentic moments with our friends and family.
We all desire for the ones we love to leave our homes knowing that they were welcomed and loved.
My hope is that this course will help you to slow down and find the joy and beauty in the holidays.
