Andrew has 4 weeks left till winter break and has heaps of assessment on, to think he has only a year and a half left of school....wow where did that time go....  These beautiful images are from my board on pinterest.... Aren't they just dreamy !!!!  I hope everyone has a lovely week ahead !!!!

Autumn Rose....

I have been watching Anne of Green Gables on DVD....something beautiful to distract me while I create...Those movies always make me see the detail of this gorgeous world a little sweeter and more lovely.... so I took some photos of my roses even though as you can imagine they are looking a little sad at this time of year but I so loved the colours of their leaves... Three big orders to finish up and post off to three special little shops here and in Norway...I hope everyone has a beautiful week I can't believe it is nearly winter .....

Yummy butterfly cakes ..... food tastes and memories...

Raspberries are one of my favourite things to eat... Growing up on my gorgeous family farm, where we had wild raspberries growing every where...I take a bite of a raspberry and I am there again sitting in the long green grass feasting till I am full to overflowing but happy and content in the simplicity of that life....I try to as much as I can to bring those simple  joys into my children's lives....so this morning while Kirstie is in the midst of so much uni assessment ...I baked some butterfly cakes.  Tiny little butter cakes, scooped out with freshly whipped cream, a little jam and a raspberry on top and we sat and chatted just for a little while and loved on each other....
The faintest waft is sometimes enough to induce feelings of hunger or anticipation, or to transport you back through time and space to a long-forgotten moment in your childhood.  It can overwhelm you in an instant or simply tease you, creeping into your consciousness slowly and evaporating almost the moment it is detected.  ~Stephen Lacey

one of my favourite books .... and give away

Over my Christmas break last year I bought this book for myself and one of my dearest friends because even though we live 1500 kilometres away from each other I thought we could read it together... This book is just so beautiful in so many ways... it leaves you believing in yourself and the world all over again.... Incredible photography, interior design, believing in your gifts and oh so much more ...so on arriving home I needed to send my copy to another sweet friend as she and I are kindred spirits and I knew she would adore it.... and of course she did.... So I just received my new copy in the mail today and I must say it is like coming home..... so I was thinking it would only be fitting that even though I just received my new copy in the mail and I ADORE it I think one of my kindred spirits in blog land deserves a copy :) so here is what you need to do to go in the draw..... Firstly, go and LIKE my facebook page......(link is at the top of the page) and secondly leave a comment either on facebook or here What makes your heart wander????? I will draw it on the 29th of May (my beautiful mums birthday).... and yes I will post it anywhere in the world :) xo

I could see it fitting so lovely under the window in my kitchen to prepare  meals on.... A big week in my little studio.....on so many levels but I will let you in on all of that over the coming weeks....

another image on my inspiration board

A friend came in for a cuppa with me the other day and I had a lot of my inspire journals sitting on my bench with clippings I have been treasuring for years.... I so enjoy looking back through them and seeing all the beautiful things that surround us ..... Just finished an amazing on-line business course that was truly marvelous!!!!.  For me it was more about re-thinking and refreshing what I already love and to keep the passion alive....  I have achieved so much really :) in the 12 years I have had this business...Ticked off lots of  wonderful things on my bucket list!!!!!! met and worked with some of the most incredible people. It helped me look back through the years and remember what I really loved and things I haven't tried yet that have always been on my mind.... So I am in a truly planning stage now...enjoying all the new excitement in my heart and moving forward...Life is definitely a very exciting journey....
Its a crisp but beautiful, sunny day in my little cottage...made yummy tortillas and marinated chicken for lunch with my sweet family...Kirstie and David are at church (David is doing the music this afternoon so lovely) and Andrew is working on a big assignment while Geoff naps on the lounge.... Life is definitely a blessing !!!
