Kirstie and I - decorating together

Well we have just had a long weekend here and on Saturday we decided to head to Brisbane for a bit of shopping... We were actually looking for a new desk for Kirstie but instead we came back with a white locker to store all her books in as she just loves to read... her most favourite pastime....Kirstie and I love to rearrange together and her room now is nearly how she wants it... Just needs a nice light fitting and a little cuddly rug for her floor for winter... Her style is a little more modern then mine but I love the fact that she already has a passion for her surroundings. This room is very dark so I apologise that the photos are not that clear.... I also apologise for the photo of me (LOL!!!!)...... My little Andrew's room is on the list now for a make over so will show you photos of that when we start....

Woman living their dreams - images that inspire

Well I know I have already told you that I have this favourite book holder that has different magazines in it all the time... It inspires me with gorgeous images from beautiful homes and talented woman... I especially LOVE the March editions of Country Living as it tells us about all these wonderful, creative woman living their dreams and it always puts a smile on my face....I am always on the look out for new design and decorating books to inspire me... Drop me a line and tell me what your favourites are... My favourite magazines are Romantic Homes, Country Living, Country Home and UK Country Living and an Australian magazine called Country Style and when I can get my hands on it Victoria magazine also from Europe Vakre Hjem & Interiors is simply breathtaking even though I can't read it....

Details and Texture

I so love taking photos of detail and texture... I was lucky enough to receive these gorgeous silver knives from a dear friend for my birthday... Aren't they simply amazing... In the middle of school vacation with my kids and trying to juggle heaps of orders which isn't that easy ..... but so very lovely having them home....

little bits of me!!!!

I have a fascination at the moment for glass front cupboards... This is the only one I have but I would love more... This one I paid $10 for so its pretty special and is now on the wall of my studio. The little verse stitched by my dear friend Sharyn in this pretty little white metal frame is just amazing. It says I am in the garden in French. Sharyn has a gorgeous garden in the mountains in Victoria...She has these amazing chestnut trees as the backdrop and it feels even though she lives in a small town that she has her own little forest.... I SO wished I lived closer to her.
