Always changing

Oh my it is me again changing things around in my house... Went to an antiques and collectibles swap meet yesterday... I must say there wasn't a lot there that I liked mostly loads of expensive china that isn't really my thing but look what I did find... This is a rusty absolutely gorgeous end to a tiny little iron bed... It had its main frame missing so I decided it needed to come inside to be a feature on my wall... It is now on the end of my sewing room wall where my collage board was before... I know you are all probably thinking I am a little odd (so does my hubby sometimes) but I love texture and tactile things that is why I love old linen so much and I love having a change all the time... I was so busy last week with work that I was getting stressed out so I moved a table in my kitchen to a different direction and cleaned a little and I felt so much better.. So rearranging is my stress relief and I think maybe I have passed this same trait onto my daughter as yesterday she changed all her dressing table... That makes me smile big time....

SO VERY PROUD

Hi everyone
Well what a beautiful weekend I had at my niece's wedding... We now have Mr and Mrs Walsh... I was 18 when gorgeous little Donna was born and I spent a lot of time with her while she was little she is a delight and Marty her new husband... well she couldn't have picked a sweeter bloke... They got married on a race course (beautiful venue) and it had rained all the day before and we had a couple of showers in the morning but the sun came out just as she got out of the car. I must say I shed a few tears as I watched my darlin brother walk her down the isle... He was so nervous but he looked at her with so much love and admiration... My other niece Shannon (beside Donna) looked just stunning as well. My daughter Kirstie took these photos and she did such a good job.. It was a simply beautiful day that I will remember for a long time...

I also wanted to let you know that I have sent out all the catalogues I have in Stock!!! Thank you for all your wonderful support... Next catalogue is due out in August and then the last one for the year will be late Oct early November....

Sneak Peak

Well finally my retail catalogue is ready to print so I thought I would send you a sneak peak at the cover... This catalogue is sort of like an elaborate newsletter... Beautiful items from Deerfield Farmhouse, Sparrow's cottage, Angela Osment, Stacy Nash and Notforgotten Farm... as well as me... Little interesting facts about my family and myself.... Even a photo on the back which is a little scary... Most items are one off so when they sell that is it...Anyway I am hoping to get my overseas ones printed off today... and in the post tomorrow... These catalogues are $4 each if anyone is interested (this basically just covers ink, paper and postage)....

New structure for garden

Well it is a long weekend here in Australia and I must say we will be working hard. I still need to finish catalogue and print it off and we want to try and finish our new pergola as well... This is a sneak peak... Just remember we are in the middle of a terrible drought here in Australia so everything is a little sad in the garden but one thing that copes alright are apple and pear trees so we are going to plant 8 of the those and prune them so they will eventually be like walls... Behind that we will have a little lavender hedge and near the house some hydrangeas. We will be using like a sandstone coloured paver which were delivered this week.... It is very early Saturday morning and the daylight is just starting to peak through... Hoot (our barn owl) has just flown back into the shed after a night on the town... My family are still all sound asleep... So I am going to have a little brekkie and do some soldering and then this morning I will paint the boards that will go across the top of the structure...

Just a quick one tonight but my daughter is very excited as she has started her own blog... She is 13 years of age, loves reading and decorating and of course buying clothes... She loves school, most of the time and I know I am biased but she is a beautiful little girl.. I have added her blog to my list under The life of a teenage bookworm... If you have kids maybe they would like to read it... Anyway take care and I will chat again soon....

Slowly getting there

The week is going too fast again... Our pavers arrived today for an outside feature we are working on this long weekend (if I get all my work done)... They are a nice sandstone colour, I will take some photos as we go.. It is lovely weather now to work outside... Our outside needs a lot of work but we will eventually get to all the jobs on a very long list we have... Anyway thought I would share one of my favourite sayings with you... I found this in an old box of my Nanna's photos and letters...
I believe in wisdom as revealed in human lives as well as in the pages of a printed book; in lessons taught not so much by precept as by example; in ability to work with the hands as well as to think with the head; in everything that makes life large and lovely..
